Register by emailing info@compassionatecreatives.com so we know how many refreshments to bring.

I’ll be the featured poet at the 17th Annual Kwanzaa celebration at the Museum of African Diaspora (MoAD). I’m teaming up with award-winning harpist and sound sculptress Destiny Muhammad on December 28th to celebrate Ujimaa,or Collective Work and Responsibility. I have a poetic affirmation and mantra to share and so much more. Register now!

If you feel that you’ve lost your passion and purpose, I will be going live on Insight Timer to discuss Nia (Purpose) on the fifth day of Kwanzaa December 29th, and you don’t want to miss it.
…and two Important Announcements!

Animated Short Film – Coming Soon!

After over 10 years of being on Submittable and feeling overlooked as a creative, a grant application of mine was chosen from nearly 80 entries. I earned an individual artist grant that is allowing me to produce a short film called “Lil’ Red is Riding the Wrong Way in the Hood.”

It’s a cautionary tale that I’m certain will be a great tool for parents to spark a conversation that could prevent or decrease human trafficking of black and brown youth around the globe. I’m excited to be working with an amazing animator from Kenya on this important project. Look for more updates on this in the near future!
