What you may or may not know about me is I taught Public Speaking for a year at Mission College. The “Ballot or the Bullet” speech ranks seventh on the list of 100 great American speeches of the 20th century, as determined by leading scholars of rhetoric.

I’ve been in a happy interracial marriage for 20 years. Yet, it begs me to ask myself am l a black nationalist or white nationalist? What team am I on? Am I a red conservative or a blue liberal? Neither. None of the above labels define me. I am dong my best to live on principle and align with those who lead with love. I pledge allegiance to a nation of freedom fighters the world over who want to see all of humanity evolve. We who believe in economic freedom can hear #MalcomX saying …”Looks like it is down to the #BallotOrTheBullet today!”

I listened to the entire speech again last night and watched the annotation at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zLQLUpNGsc Why is nearly every word so freaking relevant? It is almost eerie. I would have loved to hear his revised version post Mecca after he too turned his focus less on race equality but equity on all fronts. Will they #counteveryvote? Will we be #bamboozled and #hoodwinked by our government again? We can have a bloodless revolution. He tells you how.

Will America give her poor more than second class citizenship at the ballot box? Do #blackgunsmatter? What happens when your democracy becomes a hypocrisy? America will you restore our faith and fulfill the promise? We have to #waitforit #theresult #prayandprepare Lastly, and always…Practice #selfcare my fellow heroes and sheroes in the struggle to end the philosophy of #ProfitOverPeople   Oh say can you see the day when we have #libertyandjustice4ALL 🇺🇸
